Get ready for the 2007 Ghost Walk of Worcester!
Starting Fridays and Saturday evenings from
September 2007 to April 2008
Discover another side to the city of Worcester – if you dare!!
Do you have the courage to come face-to-face with a ghost? Are you brave enough to follow him round the streets, where ghostly Cavaliers and Roundheads still march, petulant poltergeists cause trouble and Oliver Cromwell is reputed to have sold his soul to the devil?
It all begins outside the front of the Guildhall. Picture the scene: It’s a dark winter’s evening as you gather on the High Street with friends – and strangers. You all have something in common – you’re after a great night out with a difference. The Cathedral clock strikes 8 and its mournful toll echoes through the seemingly empty streets. Suddenly, a hooded figure emerges from the shadows. A ghost! Here begins your journey.
Guests are taken to spooky locations spread throughout the central area of this Faithful City, where their phantom guide tells tales of ghosts, poltergeists, murders and much more.
Professional actor, Steve Quick, is superb. Not only is he truly frightening, but will have you laughing out loud.
This is an ideal, leisurely way to learn more about the fascinating history, both ghostly and factual, of this Ancient city. Residents and visitors alike will be fascinated by the rich tradition that is unfolded before them and the Ghost Walk offers a welcome opportunity to see aspects of Worcester normally missed.
Private parties and corporate groups welcome.
IT’S NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED!
